Consider a green screen for your zoom sessions. They can be got cheap or DIY if you want to really save. It will hide everything behind you and allows for the background of your choice. Do avoid wearing green though. The results would be interesting, to say the least.
One of my realizations during this remote transition is that too much polish undermines the attempt to create an authentic classroom experience. (I do have a green screen in storage.)
Nice work on the RV.
Setting up a nice background besides the green board may be some plain tapestry, drapes, or satin sheet the size needed. I’ve gotten all plus more dirt cheap at thrift stores for doing photography, portrait and wedding.
Countering rumors and fake news is always challenging. No one wants to read or search for correct in-depth information since the advent of twits and FB.
No one wanted to before, either. While part of the problem is getting people to question their comfort media, a trickier part is to teach them to evaluate the reliability of a source.
The Internet and social media haven’t helped. Our window for thought and patience has shrunk, and initial search results create the illusion of diverse sources.
I like your poetry shelf!

Thanks, John. Sadly, my Irish poetry is in another box in storage.

To another point. Where would you suggest finding the truth? I have given up on news sources as reliable in any sense.

I’d like to set up a tapestry. I just have to rig it without putting any holes in the ceiling or wall.
