Thanks, Bill. Yes, I get the sense that mainstream, national attention is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, there should be national attention to issues like MMIW (missing and murdered indigenous women) and resource inequality, but then there might be other problems to Native issues becoming “trendy,” like butting in on tribal autonomy.
Congratulations on the chess club. It is unfortunate that we do not have more exposure to Native Americans and their culture.
