    Great post. I recognise a lot of my own habits there except I didn’t leave off books as a teen, rather I felt in the wilderness because there wasn’t anything that felt like home at that point. All the books I read at that age were glimpses into experience I couldn’t yet relate to… thank goodness there’s a wealth of literature for teens to live in now! That bridge between childhood and adult reading can be wobbly and vertiginous

      Too true, and Kerouac’s On the Road isn’t a great code to live by.
