My first thoughts were that this movie in some way echoes Metropolis with the worker underground. I never heard of Us before. I need to look for it a view it.

I enjoyed my Halloween viewing freshly falling first snow and our first fire in the fireplace for the season. Beautiful. We even had fresh apple cider from the farm up the road. Not much snow accumulation though. Too warm.

Hot cider? Sounds like a great Halloween. As you know firsthand, it is difficult enjoying the “”fall” and winter” holidays in Florida. Vampires and palm trees? Thanksgiving without turning leaves? Christmas on the beach? No thank you.

A lot of people panned the film. Peele doesn’t provide much exposition, whereas his previous film, Get Out, was a little easier to decode. “A white community appropriating black culture and exploiting black labor? That house is the big house!” I guess he is the creator behind the new Twilight Zone series on some network. This is a guy enjoys the absurd combined with social commentary.
