It’s dispiriting and depressing when you see this attitude in young people, but I take heart from the fact that there are kids who are switched on to the issues that matter, the world over.

When it comes to civics I wonder how many high schools still teach it. Then the teachers need to be involved in civics also.
You make some good points. There are several generations that do not know or are not interested in much besides their phones or computer games.

I just want them to realize that they can’t vote with their phones (a meme that went around in 2016).
