Ha! You discovered the secret of restoring key tops. I love my lacquer sticks. I just don’t eat them.
I don’t know that I ever missed anything by never streaming anything but maybe some music when at my PC. I’d much rather read a book or listen to an LP or even a good tape. Yes, I still have a few dozen reel to reel tapes good ones from one of the radio stations where I worked. I only wish I’d have hauled off all the records when they got rid of those also.
Ooh. Shoulda coulda, I guess. Every now and then, I rant about media consumption in my classes. My main complaint is that supposed audiophiles are spending hundreds on headphones but then downloading second-rate mp3s. At least buy or stream the file with higher kbps.
I played some Beethoven CDs in my office the other day. I actually forgot that the computer could play CDs.
If I were twenty, I would probably stream, too. No wasteful plastics. But the damage is done and I’ll appreciate what I have.
