I had one teacher at 3 different times through school. He insisted on pencil outline, pencil draft, and then off to the typewriter for the final document. Of, course that was before PCs. Later in college I had a prof who was just a particular, pencil outline, pencil first draft, we could use the word processors in the writing lab, but the final document had to be typewritten as were all of our formal engineering reports. Ah, the luxury of a typewriter.
