Sounds like you are on a cable modem or DSL and not fiber.
Double spacing really makes proofing easy. I like when I get a typewriter that will do 1.5 lines instead of 2; saves paper.
Stay healthy and keep on typing.

Nope. It’s fiber. There is a lot of congestion down here, and, from what I understand, a whole bunch of people are getting free wifi from Xfinity. That was nice of them, but it certainly makes work for difficult.

1.5 sounds good. Enough space for notation and correction, but not a waste of space.

Same to you, Bill. Keep safe!

  2. The Peter Principle applied to the Internet is demand always exceeds supply.

The Conversation has been my favorite film, and The Third Man comes in close behind it.

I’m eating pan-seared left over pizza with scrambled eggs for breakfast, and attempting a blog article with a thermal Typers. 1-1/2 line spaced. Stay well.

Now I’m hungry. Thanks, Joe. Stay safe. Your 3D respiratory project is fantastic!

“Computers are old school. Typewriters are revolutionary.” Perfect! In that vein, I’ve decided to give one of my typewriters to my mom, who’s sheltering in place in her condo. I want to surprise her, so I’m deciding which one. I’ll make sure it’s all cleaned up with a new ribbon. There’s a lot of pressure to make the right choice, since (WOW) I just found out she won a typing medal in high school (70 WPM) – in fact, on her last visit she gave me her medal/pendant, which I’ll wear as a badge of honor though I will never qualify. I’m thinking maybe an SM9. I also have 2 KMM’s, one of which she might like, though it may be a challenge for her to lug out to her balcony.

Brilliant idea. Hmm. SM9 or KMM? Both are great. I was using my Royal 10 last night. It is amazing how speedy those old machines are.

Count me in with those for whom “The Conversation” has long been a favorite film. Top ten for sure, out of thousands seen. Had you ever seen it before?

Both my wife and I are able to do our jobs from home so I feel as busy as ever, maybe more so. No internet congestion in Portland O, so far (excepting my workplace’s VPN connection). Comcast has lifted the 1 TB per month data limit for their residential customers.

The Conversation is part of my nerdy “favorite directors” collection.

I think my connection is finally working better, but as soon as I say that

  5. Yes, The Conversation was great. It pulls you, lulls you until you get to the hotel room scene, which you don’t really see, but hear, which mad it all more unnerving. Imagination fills in more than you might want.
Anyways, about the virus, I’ve got it, and it’s not fun, so if you think you’re doing enough to keep it away, keep it up. You guys are good for me. Keep typing.

Wow. I hope your symptoms are not serious. It seems so strange that cases can differ so much in severity. Get well fast.

We are thinking of nixing our summer trip to CO. It seems chancy.
