You outdoor office in Texas may be the perfect spot to avoid the deadly enemy.
I too, believe the medical system in FL will be overwhelmed. What those from NY fail to realize it they could be asymptomatic spreaders.
Here’s wishing for a safe journey. And this saga is shaping up to be an interesting tale, especially being typewritten along the way. I wonder if you’ll eventually publish it.
As a student of history I read letters from Civil War soldiers, Revolutionary War soldiers first person accounts, accounts from the Great Depression (1929-39). I have often wondered how I wonld have reacted. I am now a Radiographer in a largish city. I work with Covid19 patients on a daily basis. Patients come in short of breath and are dead a few days later. On my desk I have a photo taken during WW1. It is of rows of tents in a field. Writen on the back are the words “taking a rest, waiting to ‘go in’, front line just over the hill.” We are now living in a historival event, looks like I get my wish. Peace and health to you and yours.
Take care, Jim. I’m lucky to be nowhere near the frontline. I just read that a deputy sheriff from my county in Florida died. I guess the next week is going to be devastating.
In contrast to your archives, I have a journal written by a young man as WWII was underway. America wasn’t in it yet, but I’m still mystified by how oblivious he was. He talks only of dating and money.
You’re smart. I think Florida is going to be very hard hit in the next few weeks. Safe travels!

Thanks, Joe. For now I am typing on cats instead of a typewriter. We’ll see how this goes! Be safe, Amigo.
