  1. The automatic carriage return of my Coronet is almost violent. A no-nonsense writing machine but not for the faint of heart or late at night, there’s nothing quite about it.

      Too true. The engine is pretty loud, too, A very different typing experience. I am sure a typist could reach mach 3 on it, but I’ll stick to my manuals for now.

      Saw your video on typewriters and sound levels today. I don’t type in public, so it’s more of an acoustic-aesthetic issue for me. For me there’s a certain volume level that channels my mind. Too quiet does not work. Back in Florida I was enjoying my Halda 6 standard, which makes a crisp thudding sound. Very nice.
