Perhaps that power is what makes him jealous of all these current events getting more attention than him. Today he tweeted the protesters are terrorists.
If there was no one around George Floyd’s arrest with a cell phone I wonder if he would just be another unnamed death caused by bad police.
My attitude towards phone cameras and social media has changed so much because of these incidents. A seventeen year-old girl took that video, refusing to be intimidated.
I dearly hope that the American tradition of justice and respect for individuals will triumph (mostly) over the American tradition of selfishness and racism. No triumph is permanent or absolute, not when the struggle is taking place between the good and evil sides of a single culture.
