It does sound like you may have one of those “mild” cases we’ve read about! Will you get tested?

Sending my concern from Portland to Gallup.

Thanks, John. Maybe down the road. For now it makes sense to stay put and to avoid people.

Our family all got some respiratory grunge in January, with my grandson especially affected. We’ve since wondered if it was COVID. Rest, take care and keep us updated.

Could have been. It was in this country well before March. Will do, Joe. Sound advice!

  4. Sorry to hear this, though not unexpected. As you know, I’ve been trying to get over my covid attack for two months now, and counting. What I’ve learned is that it pretty much attacks everyone differently, even within the same household. Some scientists say it can trigger dormant viruses in the body. Thankfully, most people are only affected for a few days, so the chances are that you will all be ok. As for testing, there is no point in waiting until you are ok, as then the test will be negative. You are meant to get tested when the virus is active. On the other hand, all they are going to say then is self isolate for ten days or so, and only get in touch if things get bad. I wish you all well!

Many thanks, Rob. What a strange virus. Scientists will be studying it for years.

Seems if you have gotten the virus you all have the mild cases. Only way to verify anything is find a free testing place. As others have stated this virus causes different symptoms with different people. Same for the lingering of its effects. One local girl (Firefighter-EMT in her 20s) is still experiencing several symptoms after 2 months.

Follow the medical guidelines for treatment, get plenty of rest, and plenty of liquids (alcohol will exacerbate the symptoms and severity (generally)).

Hopefully everyone will be able to make the trip to FL,and if you’ve had the virus you may be immune. Immunity would be good when venturing to a hot spot (FL, AZ, TX, CA, etc.).

    Stay safe.

Thanks, Bill. Will do. I’ve already charted our a good drive. We’ll avoid much of the Gulf, mostly because of the heat!

Yikes! I certainly hope that you all recover soon. It sure sounds like Covid is the likely culprit.

Thanks, Richard. We’re going to Walmart for testing tomorrow. I’m not sure which results I want.
