Excellent poem, which had my mind racing around various interpretations. “Wind-glazed” stopped me in my tracks in the first line. I mulled it over in my mind, parked it, and read on…and then it all started making sense. That’s what I want from a poem, a challenge, stimulation to ponder, and a few memorable turns of phrase. Encore!
Thanks, Rob. I didn’t think I had one in me—the sapping of creative energy, as you mentioned. The weather is cooling now. That helps. Hope you are well.
I was thinking about Edinburgh the other day. How about a new poem with some urban photos? When you get a chance.
That would be good, but I can never do these things deliberately, as when I do so, they always look and read false. I’m not a “real” photographer or poet, but occasionally something falls out unexpectedly, which is how I like it. You just have to be there when it happens 😉
Feeling the “pressure” of a new term? 🙂
