I hope you will more pleased to know that someone is reading you carefully than you will be chagrined by the resulting question, but… how are the caverns undiscovered if they have a railroad in them?

Hello. Thanks for the response. Yes, it could be more clear that the vibrations of the train are penetrating the earth (rather than the train itself).
I make these kinds of mistakes on typewritten drafts. Such are the joys of using a typewriter!
