I tried to post this yesterday, but we lost power again. Now there is a boil water warning. The moment-by-moment problem solving has been exhausting, but there have also been moments of beauty. We have power for the moment, but it won’t last. I better post this now.

Stay well, and safe.

Thanks, Joe. You, too. Today classes were delayed at UNM-Gallup simply due to cold. More snow in Texas now.

Good to hear you are doing all right. I used to turn my house into camp when I lived out in the country in VA. We got large snow storms that closed the roads for a few days and several also took out power for a few days. Had a generator, wood for the wood stove, a well, and food.
Stay warn and enjoy the winter.

It’s snowing again now, but we have power. Unfortunately our water burst yesterday. The hot water wasn’t running. This is an old house. Old pipes, and the water heater is outside. We can get a little water when we turn the source on, but we also have to boil the water (local warning). Turns out the great state of Texas can’t hold a candle to a little place like Vermont.

Broken pipes are no fun at all. Hopefully no damage to your house.
I had that happen when I lived in PA and went on a business trip in winter.
Stay warm around the fire.
