Digital Impasse – Blog Out of Service

on

I won’t be including any scans or photos for this post. My WordPress memory is maxed out. This means that I need to archive previous posts or upgrade my plan. It dawns on me that there will be a day when I won’t be able to maintain this blog. Like everything else, it will disappear into digital ether.

Paper burns.

Computers crash.

Legacy is a word

eroded in wind.

I take it that by “memory” you mean photo storage space. I just checked my own blog, which uses 0.7% of its allotted media storage. I didn’t realize I didn’t have a free plan, but the $3.50 a month plan I do use gives me 6 GB of media storage, which should last you a good while even if you upload full-size photos and scans!

I’ve used up 6 GB. I’ll have to upgrade to premium to keep the blog going (unless I want to archive old material). I think it’s about ten bucks per month, or just under that. I could have cut corners with low res images.
