Welcome back. I wish I could ride my bike to work. One long bad and very dangerous road with no shoulders stands in the way.
I hope you experience the joy I had when I changed from a ‘mountain bike’ to a real mountain bike; full suspension and such.
My first one was probably similar to yours, a bit of a beefy frame and big knobby tires.

There’s no way that I would have used a bike in South Florida. Much too dangerous.
I’m excited to try out the Salsa Blackthorne. It was a smart buy. Lots of quality parts without spending too much.
Hope all is well in Michigan. Summer be gone!

Well that’s a worthwhile project! I don’t know how many broken 78s I’ve found rummaging through thrift stores. I think people use them as frisbees.
