Hope. I hope your tinnitus clears. I’ve had mild tinnitus for decades. Too many rock concerts (and others) before I started using ear plugs, shooting, and loud machines.

Good luck on your typewriter cleaning.

Thanks, Bill. My SG1, a loud machine in itself, is acting up.

So sorry to hear about the tinnitus! But I’m glad you are adjusting.

Years ago I visited a number of New Mexico pueblos and found them absolutely fascinating.

The Kachina stories are amazing. Families alternate acting them out every year. In one case, a given family, responsible for a specific Kachina, died out. Now the Kachina’s story is gone from their traditions. That sounds very sad, but there was something very natural about it.

How interesting. That does sound like a very natural way of integrating myth with real life. So different from our industrialized and eternalized myths.

  4. oh that’s a hard diagnosis, a tough thing to live with. But, if you can find that equitable place of ‘living with it’ then you’re doing the best you can.
