I rewatched Ex Machina the other night. I think that’s what worries the most: not an intelligent robot, a yearning robot—or at least a robot in which simulated yearning takes on a life of its own.
Recently an AI provided instructions for attaining materials and details for how to build a biological weapon. It provided realistic plans for how to release it into the population. The AI tester never asked for the information. It was a prototype. Let’s hope they eliminated the bugs!
I wonder if AI bots dream of what is over the rainbow, or wish upon a star.
