Love using typewriters to teach with! I’ve found some good deals on shopgoodwill.com and shipping isn’t too bad (a few months ago it was $15 shipping and $15 winning bid for an electric Brother Coronet in excellent shape).
Shopgoodwill can be surprising. I bought a Hermes 3000 there once. It was in horrible condition, full of gunk and animal fur. Now it’s one of my best machines.
I’ve used my typewriters for a lot of student events, but never in class. Do you teach writing? How do you use them?
