Ah, the perils of a foreign keyboard in the USA. I have similar problems with an Italian keyboard Lettera 22. On the Skyriter I’d try pressing and holding the space bar after typing a single quote and press the single quote again.
I much appreciate your help. I noted the incident in BIrmingham when it occurred; at the time, Mr. Hagood was planning to reopen, but I guess he decided that he might as well quit. I wish him a happy retirement, but it’s a melancholy moment for me.
