Good things … I use mineral spirits constantly. Sometimes a harsher chemical is needed, such as PB Blaster.

    Nice work on the Underwood.

I too use mineral spirits as well as some other solvents. I found a mixture of kerosene and mineral spirits to do wonders on many moving parts. I mix it about half and half. I also dilute machine oil with kerosene to make it thin enough to spray. Problem with any spray is it must be done outdoors and away from all flame and source(s) of ignition.

I use a small muffin fan on my workbench to pull fumes away from where I work. Any small fan will work.
