She bought one of those “We Are Memory Keepers” typewriters. I’m toying with the idea of gifting her an Underwood Champion. I doubt those Memory Keepers are very good.
“Not very good” is the understatement of the week. Everything, including the slugs, are plastic. Typing with one is like trying to write a letter with a rubber quill.
She needs *something*–but a Champion would be extraordinarily generous, I think. Maybe a later Smith-Corona or Royal?
Sure is a nice note. Good to see another convert to a typewrtier.

Great to see her enthusiasm. Eventually she will want, and need, a better typewriter, of course.

She bought a Royal KMM from me months ago. I mentioned other manufacturers, but she seems hooked on Royals.

Oops. I just realized that you responded to the post about the letter. Yes, I hope she acquires a better machine!
