A prose poem. I read such things skeptically, but this beats the vast majority of the poems I read. You challenge the reader just enough to ensure participation. The allusions are rewarding. Well done.
Thanks, John. I’m not sure what it is, but I want to get back into the habit of doing a little creative writing every day. It does seem like it could be made into a story or reworked as a poem.
