        You can set it to display three, four, or five lines, which lets you see enough of your writing to hold your thought without letting you (me) obsess over larger structural issues. The idea is to get a draft out quickly, without obstacles such as compulsive re-reading and correcting or fact-checking. The screen isn’t backlit, which would also be a distraction (for me, at least), but if you can read a paper page, you can read the screen.
