I read that article this morning and was troubled, although it didn’t tell me anything I’d never heard before. I do like to think that I could spot a paper written by a Kenyan who never set foot in my class; the vocabulary and concepts would be unfamiliar. But maybe I’ve been duped dozens of times and never suspected.
Very well said. Cheaters are generally those who need to tell everyone they are a genius. The real geniuses don’t need to say a word.

Well, a philosophy student comes from a different species than a comp student or business student. Do you teach any gen ed courses?
I thought it was interesting that the Kenyan writer mentioned in the article spends time studying American idiom.
